Yumeaka has maintained a successful civil law practice as a solo practitioner for 33 years. During that time, she has handled more than 400 family law cases, as well as successions, civil litigation, and personal injury matters. Her practice has primarily served clients in Jackson, Bienville, Claiborne, and Lincoln Parishes.
This extensive experience has provided Yumeaka with a broad understanding of the legal issues that come before the district court and has strengthened her ability to analyze facts and apply the law fairly and firmly. Yumeaka believes that a judge’s decisions should be based on the facts presented, the evidence admitted in court, and the law as written—not on political party pressure, public opinion, or outside influences. Her depth of experience and her record of being fair, but firm enhances her qualifications to
serve as District Judge.
